WHERE ARE THE ROOMS?

Mine Escape, Kellar’s Magic Emporium, and Fractured are located at 12-18 Yarra St, South Melbourne.
The Original Escape Room is located at 9 Lee St, Flemington.

We recommend taking public transport to our rooms, as all locations are just a short walk from the tram / train.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Our prices vary depending on the day of week and the number of participants.

IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT? ARE THE ROOMS SUITABLE FOR FAMILIES?

Children under 16 years of age are welcome to attend if accompanied by an adult (one guardian free admission). Children aged 6 years and over are full price.

We recommend that families with younger children (under 12) book the original Flemington escape room, as the other rooms are more difficult and can be somewhat intense for young children. Children under 6 are allowed free (with families), and there is a maximum of 5 children with one guardian.

Our South Melbourne rooms allow children 12 years and up (though 16 and under must attend with a guardian present in the room).

Our Fractured room is our most difficult room – it is not suitable for people under 16 years of age, or for first time players.

WHAT SORT OF PUZZLES ARE IN ESCAPE ROOMS?

Our puzzles differ from room to room, but in general they require you to think outside of the box and search for clues. No spoilers here!

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Bring your prescription glasses if you have trouble seeing, but otherwise all that is required is a working brain!

WHY ARE ESCAPE ROOMS SO POPULAR?

Escape rooms are so popular because they provide an opportunity for creative thinking and problem solving that isn’t often found in day-to-day life! Many escape room lovers also report enjoying the sense of camaraderie that comes from working in team at an escape room.

CAN I ADD ANY EXTRA PEOPLE TO MY BOOKING?

Yes you can, so long as this doesn’t change your team to exceed more than 6 people! You can simply update your booking and pay for any extras by following the View/Change link in your confirmation email.

CAN I CHANGE THE TIME OR DATE OF MY SESSION?

Yes, you can! Simply follow the View/Change link in your confirmation email. From there you can reschedule your session, but ensure you do so more than 48hrs prior to the session so as to avoid any cancellation fee.

DO YOU TAKE CORPORATE BOOKINGS?

Sure. For teams of 7 or more we recommend booking for multiple South Melbourne rooms at the same time. We can also arrange back-to-back sessions for larger groups in any of our rooms. DO YOU SELL GIFT VOUCHERS?

CAN I EAT FOOD OR DRINK ALCOHOL IN THE ROOMS?

As drinking is not particularly conducive to puzzle-solving, and because our premises are not licensed, alcohol is not allowed at our venues. Food is also not allowed in the rooms, but there are plenty of dining options in close proximity.

DO YOU LICENSE YOUR ROOMS?

If you are passionate about puzzles and want to create an immersive experience for people, we license our rooms for other companies to operate. Versions of our rooms are available all across Australia, and we have even launched internationally in countries such as South Africa, New Zealand, Canada and Singapore.
